Discovering the Blue Mountains

Retail Therapy, Blue Mountains Style

Shopping is a pleasant surprise in the Mountains, offering a real diversity of choice and prices.

Shopping is a pleasant surprise in the Mountains, offering a real
diversity of choice and prices.

Whether your mission is to discover interesting clothing, antiques, giftware or homewares, you’ll find many temptations in the Blue Mountains. A leisurely drive up the Great Western Highway will take you to the many antique shops along the way and most of the villages have their own selection of women’s fashion.

Several shops offer merchandise from ethically and environmentally responsible sources. Unique items from overseas artists working in clothing design and jewellery from Polish sculptors are only the beginning of the diversity that can be found in Leura.

The Blue Mountains is home to a great many authors. Our magazine has for years carried a book feature on newly released books either by a Blue Mountains author or on a Blue Mountains subject. We would like our readers and site visitors to have access to this catalogue of books and associated details/reviews, many of which are available
from bookshops showcased in the 'Bookshops' category below.

The majority of retail businesses are owner operated and reflect the individuality of that owner. Start looking in the
lower Blue Mountains and allow yourself some time to browse in Leura, Katoomba and Blackheath also.
